Mary Leakey was a brilliant archeologist who discovered many significant human and ape fossils, as well as rock paintings. Their dalmatians would be present at the Leakey family's dig sites to warn them if any dangerous African wildlife got too close. The skull is of one of her discoveries, Paranthropus Boisei, an extinct relative to the Homo genus.
